Cedar deck with timber frame joinery

Red cedar, reclaimed white oak free tenons with hand hewn edges, white oak pegs, copper ballusters. There are no metal fasteners in the handrail system.

I came into this project after the stairs and loft were complete, with the glulams in place. The homeowners requested something that looked 'simple and sturdy.'
